Mr. Daniels comes in to continue Elizabeth’s punishment. He continues speaking to her about her recent problems, one in particular that needs some attention. Lately, he feels that she has been “too friendly” with his male friends. As punishment, he bends her over and canes her hard until she is brought to tears. Afterward, she is placed back in time out to think about her actions and what she will do to change them.
